All the 2009 Distance Challenge Events have passed. Look for more events in 2010!
There are 77 potential winners of the Heels and Hills Distance Challenge. To be a winner in the series, you have to participate in at least 2 of the 4 Heels and Hills Distance Challenge lead-up events this spring, and then participate in the final main event on May 3. So on May 3, the following people will be eligible to stop by and pick up their special prize.

The City of Irving Parks Department has just opened up a brand new park and beautiful new section of trail. The race starts at Sam Houston Park at the NW corner of Valley View and 635/George Bush Turnpike service road.
From George Bush Turnpike:
Exit Valley View
Turn right, heading South/West approx .5 mile
Turn right at stop light (Valley View/635 Svc Rd)
Park is immediately on the right
From Hwy 635 East:
Exit Riverside
Turn left at stop light (Valley View)
Turn left at stop light (635 Svc Rd)
Park is immediately on the right
From Hwy 635 West:
Exit Valley View
Continue West on 635 service road through the stop light
Park is immediately on the right
The City of Irving Parks and Recreation has partnered with Heels and Hills Distance Challenge to showcase their beautiful Campion Trails!
- Finishing is winning - so no age group awards
- Finisher’s items will be distributed at EACH distance challenge event
- Besides those finisher items, complete 3 of the 5 events (including the Heels and Hills Half Marathon or 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run) and receive a special Distance Challenge Finisher Item!
